Souled Out - RNIB Charity PicnicPublished on 26th July, 2007

On 25 July 07, Souled Out, Slap & Tickle and Jane Ballamy entertained families at a RNIB charity picnic event in Redhill, Surrey.  The client sent this email -

Hi John,

Thank YOU and your band for being so amazing yesterday!!! Val and I were so ‘gobsmacked’ at your truly selfless acts.  Every single one of you contributed to the fantastic event. You communicated with every single person at the ‘Grub on the Grass’ event with your true sense of style, your professionalism and fun and you all delivered not only a greatly memorable event, but you made every one of those kids shine.  Well done and thank you so much.We will definitely be in touch over this and the future years.

Warmest wishes,

Gilly & Val,

As a post script, under the ‘you couldn’t make it up’ section, the band were into their third song of the afternoon when someone literally pulled the plug and stopped them in their tracks - the first time it’s ever happened to Souled Out. Apparently the venue was close to the local crematorium, there was a service taking place and they took exception to the song which was being belted out at the time - Burn baby burn, it’s a disco inferno!!!! We promise, it’s completely true.
