Souled Out get the Blues (and Royals)Published on 19th March, 2009

The Selwood Group enjoyed a stirring evening of entertainment in Southampton on 14 March where the band for the evening was Souled Out who performed with their usual energy and flair. Before that however, The Band of the Blues and Royals performed a Ceremonial Marching Display which almost literally raised the roof. The military band’s performance was a suprise for the guests, who thoroughly enjoyed the show, joining in enthusiatically with stirring renditions of Jerusalem, Rule Britannia and Land of Hope & Glory to name but a few.

As the final strains of The Blues & Royals’ music died away, so the atmosphere was immediately whipped into a frenzy once more, as Souled Out took to the stage with their inimitable ’go for it’ performance. Sandie Brandon of The Selwood Group kindly emailed as follows:

“Just a quick email to thank you and your “entertainers” for a wonderful dinner dance this year. Everyone, but everyone, enjoyed the band of the Blues & Royals and loved singing and waving their flags Once again Souled Out delivered a very professional and fantastic performance at our event. John the lead singer is always larger than life in his white suit and when he jumps down onto the dance floor, he can boogie on down with the best of them.  The band are great musicians and the girl singers just add a touch of class to complete the act. The dance floor was full all evening, which just goes to prove that Souled Out get people moving out of their seats to enjoy the best form of exercise there is!   “When you book Souled Out you are going to be dancing All Night long….all night!.”
