Star – worth every penny!Published on 24th March, 2009
Star performed at a Barmitzvah party on 22 March 09, hosted by Jackie and Douglas Miller at The Marriott Hotel, Swiss Cottage. The party was a great success and we were delighted to receive the following email from Mr & Mrs Miller –
Star were great! One of the major ingredients to a successful function is the band: Ideally what a host wants is a band that makes the party go with a swing, and leaves the crowd wanting more. Star did just that. Star were highly professional: they turned up early, had a professional set-up, and were always ready to start on time at key moments during the event. They gauged the crowd well, choosing great songs to play, performed to an extremely high standard. The band looked like they were enjoying themselves as much as the guests too! They invited our kids onto the stage and made them feel special. There were no breaks in the sets – just great songs, one after the other. We’ve been to many functions and seen the dance floor empty from time to time during the course of a party, Star kept the dance-floor full and catered to every age-group. I can’t count the number of people who asked me who the band were, but there were many. Star is a big band with a great sound, and worth every penny!
We are most grateful to Jackie and Douglas for taking the time to write our advertising copy for us - we couldn’t ask for more! Star and the other CBS Group managed bands work extremely hard to ensure that every party at which they perform is a great success and it is always really nice to know those efforts are appreciated.
