Battle Back with The MixPublished on 27th October, 2009

The Mix performed at an event organised by The Worshipful Company of Wheelwrights at The Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington on 24 October in aid of Battle Back, a charity supporting injured miltary personnel aiming to take part in the Paralympics in 2012. The evening was a huge success, raising more than £18,000 and organiser Matthew Dymott kindly emailed as follows:

Essential to the success of the evening was the quality of the band, who despite the significant range of ages in the room managed to span the generations and ensure the dance floor was packed all night – A difficult task which they achieved with ease.  Everyone I spoke to on the evening was complementing the group (I am still struggling to get Mamma Mia out of my head!) and I have pasted below some written feedback I have received this morning.

“Very well done to you , Tony and all others involved in organising the Ball.  A truly superb evening.  Everything went to plan and the band in particular were very good.  All of my guests had a great time and we have hopefully raised a substantial amount of money.  I look forward to hearing from you the final total.”

“All my party of 10 thought it was an excellent evening in all respects – venue much improved, food very good as were the staff, band noisy as they all are but didn’t they get everyone on the floor ( a good measure of success)”

“I was pleased with how it went and my guests enjoyed themselves.  I think it showed again that the one thing it’s worth splashing out on is a good band.”

We are most grateful to Matthew and his guests for their kind comments, which are very much appreciated – we look forward to working with the charity again in the future – The Mix can add that same sparkle to your next party, to find out how, contact the CBS Group now by email or call 023 9257 0001
