Hugh Nightingale has been performing magic for 17 years and for the last 12 years as a full time professional. From beginnings as a hobby, Hugh’s magic has grown into a full time business that takes him all over the country and into Europe. Hugh can be seen at the most prestigious of venues working alongside top names in entertainment for world-renowned clients.

In Society circles Hugh is very well received. His easy and discreet manner and wit, readily fitting all occasions. He is just as comfortable performing on the quarterdeck of HMS Invincible as in the armoury of Hatfield House. From a stand at the NEC to the luxury of the Cavalry & Guards Club or from the quiet exclusivity of the Ritz to the bustle of Brand’s Hatch. Hugh’s magic is as appropriate in the historic Middle Temple or the Globe Theatre as in the hi-tech modernism of a Heathrow departure lounge or a television studio. Whether for hundreds at a charity ball or for a dinner party for four in their own home, Hugh entertains with charm and skill and has the act to suit.

Hugh is a member of the Magic Circle, the International Brotherhood of Magicians and the Kent Magicians Guild. He has written 2 books on magic and has had many articles published in the magic press. He has won several awards for his magical entertainment and was the winner of the 1998 Kent Close-up Magician competition. In 1996 he was elected an Associate Member of the Inner Magic Circle and awarded the AIMC with Silver Star. In 2004 Hugh was elected a full Member of Inner Magic Circle and awarded the GOLD STAR – the highest degree in the Society
